Sue Hollingsworth MBA has extensive experience at Director level in business and retrained as a professional storyteller in 1994. In 1996 she became a founding member of the ground breaking consultancy Storytelling in Organisations, whose mission was to explore the transformational power of story to address some of the key issues in business today. Early clients included Shell, BP, Barclays Bank, the Strategic Planning Society, RoyalSun Alliance amongst others. From 1999 – 2005 she also led the 13 week full time storytelling training at the international School of Storytelling in East Sussex and was a Director of Emerson College, an educational trust. In 2005 she founded Storymatters Ltd, gaining additional clients such as HMRC, DEFRA and The Prince’s Trust and in 2007 is a founding member of the emerging Centre for Narrative Leadership. She specialises in the use of story, usually at Director and Board level, working as both consultant and coach. The core of her work is the belief that the skilled use of narrative can transmit value and meaning in the workplace and she assists leaders to operate on the frontier where structure and creativity, fact and imagination, the personal and professional all combine to deliver maximum potency.
